Before: A simple outfit

After: Fully accessorized & looking amazing!

Here at Chloe Rose Boutique, we firmly believe in investing in the right pieces. What we mean by this is, investing in the pieces that can enhance your look and more specifically enhance your "everyday" look. When brainstorming about this post the mission was clear: we wanted to showcase how adding a few simple accessories can transform an "everyday" outfit from boring to chic! The other main objective was to show you how to do this using pieces that you probably already have in your wardrobe.

We started with an easy outfit that all of you should already own in some sense: an easy tee + a great pair of denim (I want to emphasize this because investing in a great pair of denim will change your look & your life, it is essential to looking put together). Then we simply added a few easy accessories to complete the look. All it took was:

• The Handbag: Every woman should have one nice handbag in her closet. I have always said that a beautiful handbag can make even the most inexpensive outfit look expensive. The handbag is one of those pieces that other women look at, which is why it holds such importance. This is why the handbag is an integral part of this everyday look. Our handbag has an effortless but refined feel to it, making this look casual but dressed up.
• The Shoe: This outfit would look very different if paired with the wrong kind of shoe, something like a pair of flip flops ( a big fashion no no, unless you are on vacation & in a sarong). Again, a beautiful pair of shoes can make or break it. However, I don't believe the shoe has to be expensive per say, they just need to compliment the look. In this example, we used an easy pair of everyday wedges that go back to the casual, everyday feel of the denim & tee.
• The Jewelry: We are serious lovers of simple jewelry. They are great for everyday & when layered together, can create a great statement without looking over the top. To create our "everyday" look, we simply layered a few of our favorite Vanessa Mooney necklaces & then added a bracelet & a few rings on the wrist and hands.
• The Belt: This accessory was really the finishing touch to this look. As we were styling, we didn't initially put a belt with the look. But as we layered the accessories on, the outfit felt naked with out the belt. Don't under-estimate what a simple skinny belt can do for a look, it may change the whole thing!

How incredibly chic do these lovely ladies look?

Now, I'm going to admit that I am really super boring & pretty uncreative with regards to my hair. This comes from a lack of skills in that department, so most days you will either see me with a messy bun or my hair down straight and on a special day, my hair curled (I watched a very handy you tube video of how to curl with a straight iron & my life has never been the same). However, I am yearning to walk outside of my comfort zone & give this chic new braid a try. I am thinking I can rock it for both day time play-full-ness & night time sex-kitten-ness ;)
